Job Description

Responsible for supporting activities that may include:

- SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologies.

Typically part of a larger effort or project

- manufacturing process definition

- Installation and delivery of Process

- design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality parts

- providing technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sources

- Implementation, and validation of test processes and equipment. Test systems include leak test, Cold test, Hot test, Torque to turn, Valve body air test, Transmission and Drive Unit Final Test, Battery electrical and leak test. This role includes FTA improvement, BOE/BOP best practices implementation. Validate new test processes as driven by product requirements. Implement common methods and systems. Continuously improve safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost

Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.

Qualifications

Basic Required:

  • Manufacturing knowledge / experience
  • Deep technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with team members, suppliers, and stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Demonstrates initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and help others
  • Understanding of mathematical statistics & Statistical Process Control
  • High level of computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.

Basic Preferred:

  • Thorough knowledge of test equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Understanding and experience with data acquisition hardware
  • Test application and programming software experience (Bauer PCS, Krause UPS32/64, LabVIEW, other)

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in engineering or equivalent training / experience
  • Typical: 1 years experience
  • English: Advanced
  • Knowledge of electrical process
