The Quality Engineer has responsibility for define and create tactics to ensure that productive operations are kept under control and products that meet Customer requirements are consistently delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the release sheet for the first and last piece.
• Prepare the process release sheet.
• Perform Poka Yokes launch.
• Provide training to Quality Analysts.
• Supervise the work of the Quality Analysts.
• Coordinate and lead projects related to the quality area such as PPM reduction and Line Side Review (LSR).
• Lead failure analysis processes of 8D, A3, Storyboard or any Problem Resolution methodology. Follow up on your corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
• Direct on-site attention for customer complaints.
• Participate in the preparation of PPAP's.
• Define failure analysis related to the standard work of the analysis bench.
• Analyze line rejections and establish corrective actions for them.
• Define containment and dispose of non-conforming material.
• Provide training on product quality and acceptance and rejection criteria.
• Execute audits of the Control Plan in the assigned line (focus on IATF).
• Manage the SPC system, analyze data and establish corrective actions with cross-functional teams to sustain process and product improvement.
• Develop control plans for the definition of product and process verification controls, process parameters.
• Define the creation of Test Masters.
• Provide support in APQP activities, such as: Flowchart , Process FMEA, Standard Worksheet Instructions, Setup Instructions
• Carry out process and LPA audits
• Provide support in Continuous Improvement
• Provide support in Security Processes
• Provide support in Cost Reduction Projects
• Provide support in analysis and definition of action plans to reduce Scrap in their assigned lines.
• Provide support in analysis and definition of action plans to reduce Scrap in their assigned lines.
• Provide support in monitoring the implementation of engineering changes and temporary Engineering permits.
• Attend and participate in the required training established by the organization, as well as those related to new projects.
• Actively participate in the Annual Physical Inventory
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree: Mechanic, Electrical or Industrial
• Time of experience: 3+ years automotive industry
• Knowledge required: Manufacturing process, Core Tools, IATF 16949, Solving problem, GD&T
• Other requirements: Microsoft Office, VDA 6.3 (desirable)
• Availability to travel: Yes
• Frequency: Semestral
