Your Job

As Mold Unit Manager you’ll be responsible to lead Launch area, Tool room and Engineering, creating strategies to improve the whole Molding functional area. Lead the team to have good balance in the lines in order to secure better response, times, and security of the team.

Our Team

This position will be essential part of Molding and manufacturing, collaborating across all functional areas and other plants in China and US on a daily basis to perform its role.

What You Will Do

• This role will have the authority to stop any manufacturing process when considered necessary to maintain safety and quality.
• Daily management of system to identify any relevant points and Generates daily reports related to production efficiency.
• Conduct several meetings per week to check results at the beginning of the shift in order to improve productivity.
• Lead the team to have good balance in the lines and follow with 4 shifts.
• Adopts, follows and transmits the company's values and philosophy to the team in charge.
• Communication and coordination, through the Supervisors, with the technicians and team leaders for the correct functioning of the automatic, semi-automatic and manual production lines.
• Provides tools to ensure communication to the next shift at the operational, line leader and engineering levels, to ensure that key manufacturing information such as order priorities and performance of area metrics are shared.
• Take leadership and participate in activities related to the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, quality, safety, labor relations, etc.
• Provides and takes care of the resources, machinery and tools required to guarantee daily manufacturing tasks.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Engineering degree with expertise in Molding, plastics, injection processes.
• Strong experience in Management role working in manufacturing preferably within automotive industry.
• Good knowledge in scientific molding application.
• Knowledge of ERPs to manage strategic points and follow up efficiency.
• Hands on person that can secure good practices and improve productivity.
• English proficient.
• Strong Leadership and time management skills.
• Ability to develop people within your work team to take advantage of talent.
