Job Description

This position is responsible for sourcing products from facilities across the globe to the NAM CoPacking facilities and US Market. This key position ensures that product is available in the quantity and with the timing to support Packaging activities and customer demand, while meeting inventory and service level targets, and working cross functionally with the category and supporting key strategic projects for the business aligned with our Horizon Strategy.

What You’ll Do:

• Executes BIC’s supply planning processes by utilizing the Blue Yonder and JDE planning platforms.
• Provides purchase Forecast and firm orders for BIC factories (ICO) for components and finished goods produced overseas.
• Manages and resolves overdue orders due to product availability.
• Communicates product availability, back-order relief, and Product Allocation releases to Customer Service, Distribution, Marketing and Sales
• Continuously follow-up with Group Manufacturing planners to ensure schedule attainment, capacity constraints and feedback of all production issues.
• Review and analyze how to support Incremental demand and Special Projects Request, providing available inventory, capacity and feasibility.
• Works along with the sourcing logistics team to prevent and resolve any shipments discrepancies (Advance Shipment Notice's process).
  
  

Projects You’ll Work On:

• Reviews and evaluates the forecast and compares it against capacity constraints to prevent any service issue.
• Inventory management providing total inventory projections, SKU transitions maintenance, and preventing Slow moving and Obsolete inventory.
• Actively participates in weekly project meetings for Make to order “Custom Items” and “Everyday” products, as well as Innovation Projects.
• Provides planning support with the preparation of long-range capacity analysis in support of the Annual Budget process.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Two years’ experience in production planning, inventory control, manufacturing and/or capacity analysis in a high-volume consumer products company is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize enterprise planning software. JDA/BY & JDE a plus.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to execute and measure the results of a planning process.
• Effective communication skills to deal with all levels of user management.
