Mission

  • The Sr. PPM is the procurement representative in the plant and the plant representative in the procurement function.
  • He/She is the key interface of the plant regarding procurement performance.
  • He/She is accountable to deploy the Procurement strategy & processes in the factory by developing the plant APOP (Annual Procurement Operation Plan).
  • Ensure the specific needs of the plant are considered/included in the category strategy.


Report :

  • The Sr. PPM hierarchically reports to a Procurement organization & dotted line reporting to the Plant Manager. He/She is fully integrated in the Plant Management team.


Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

As the Sr. Procurement lead & accountable for the plant(s), he/she acts as the Single Point of Contact for the plant(s) in his/her scope. His/Her responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the correct deployment of the general Purchasing Strategy of cost reduction initiatives in the cluster.
  • Propose, support and lead cost reduction projects/ ideas (Quality value engineering, Change of supplier, Negotiation) within their perimeter in consistency with the Purchasing strategy goals.
  • Contribute to the correct purchasing database maintenance via the regular and constant update of corresponding data.
  • Support the commodity management strategy for supplier consultation & selection including negotiate and manage contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, lead times, pay terms, inventory level, etc.)
  • Support and / or lead all the activities related the supply qualification system in plant according with the responsibility matrix defined.
  • He/She identifies, with the PPM (Procurement Manager (s) and PSL (Plant Sourcing Leader (s), new actions to reach the targets in term of productivity by lever.
  • He/She ensures the negotiation coverage of his plant(s) & their results.
  • He/She gives support to the PSL for the management of technical and supplier change actions (identification and progress) with escalation process within the purchasing function and/or the plant.
  • He/She is monitoring & challenging the ODVC & other materials expenses.
  • He/She is accountable, with the monthly reconciliation committee (PPM, financial controller and PSL), for consistence of productivity in OTTO and in AOC.
  • The Sr. PPM takes part in the plant QBR and commits himself/herself to the Material Productivity Rolling Forecast.
  • The Sr. PPM acts a main liaison between Plant teams and external functions related to Procurements, oversees the plant road map, product lines transfers, and proactively communicate growth/recovery (material shortages) needs to functions that can support him/her for resolution.

This Job Might Be For You If

  • You have a University / College degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or similar programs.
  • Have at least +5 years of experience in Purchasing, Project Management or related fields (desired)
  • Understanding of Engineering /Manufacturing Processes is a plus.


Hard skills:

  • Supply Chain knowledge (Supplier Management, Cost analysis, Market analysis, Inventory Management, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge in Finance/Quality
  • Project Management.
  • Strong leadership/interpersonal skills & functional management skills
  • Developed analytical skills, fast and effective at dealing with difficult situations
  • Ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced changing/transforming & complex environment.
  • At ease in matrix organization: functional reporting (doted / dual line reporting), strong collaboration skills
  • Proven influence & convincing skills
  • Agile & creative in complex problem solving
  • Ability to communicate (oral and written), organize and work under a cross-functional Team environment.
  • Capacity for problems analysis and synthesis.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Intercultural skills, team spirit, result oriented.
  • Fluent English & ability to communicate in a clear & concise manner
  • Database Management skills is a plus
