PROJECT ENGINEER II
Education and professional Experience
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in data analytics or equivalent with +3 years of experience in this role or similar.
• PMP Certification or desire to obtain
• Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau
• Experience with PPM systems such as Planisware
• SQL database experience
Requirements
• Good working knowledge and experience with connector, harness or integrated systems or manufacturing processes (injection molding, plating, stamping, machining, etc.)
• Functional knowledge of cost models and P&L statements
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and lead regional cross-functional teams
• Experience with change and risk management
• Effective communicator, leader and negotiator. Able to communicate complex technical details to the team
• Six Sigma process and/or LEAN process methods preferred
• Problem solving methods
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Knowledge of general automotive APQP process.
• Knowledge applicable to the position in IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
• Knowledge of Safety and Environment Regulations and the environmental management system that apply to the company
Responsibilities and authority
• Data mine the PPM system to analyze and report the information to meet the organizations KPI’s.
• Provide the processes and governance to supports the projects within the project management organization.
• Achieve On-Time Delivery project performance objectives and report out progress.
• Oversee, contribute, and maintain action items in technical conversations with the customer.
• Manage project scheduling and gap closure requirements as needed by holding team members accountable.
• Achieve scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
• Participate in and lead activities to approve the phase gate reviews within the project approval governance.
• Resolve project conflicts and establish escalation path on all projects.
• Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all team members on a regular basis.
• Promote best practices in project management
• Manage the customer so that they are providing TE with the necessary deliverables so that TE can achieve on time, on cost and on quality results to their expectations.
• Work closely with all stakeholders coordinating product/process changes.
• Authority to stop a process in which there is the possibility of harming the environment or/and that is outside environmental legal compliance.
