Responsible for designing and managing the LATAM and USCAN strategy and execution on Third Party compliance program. Work closely with various business leaders and functional teams to identify and assess third-party compliance risks and to develop and implement practical risk mitigation solutions. In this high-visibility role, he/she will continuously enhance the Compliance program around third parties with the goal of making it a competitive advantage for GE Healthcare in the region. USCAN DCM for 50% of the role.

Dealer Compliance Manager – DCM position primarily aims to ensure the process established in the Global Independent Third Party Policy which outlines all the compliance requirements, actions and controls to be in place for the onboarding and maintenance of Distributors, Agents and other Intermediaries ( e.g.: Due Diligence, Mitigation of red flags, preparation of Scorecards, Meeting with leaderships - IRBs, trainings, etc.).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor regulatory and enforcement environment around third-party risks
  • Partner with business leadership to understand and assess indirect go-to-market strategies and associated compliance risks
  • Establish comprehensive strategy and practical control structure around third-party compliance (dealers, distributors, sales agents, administrative service providers, customer facing suppliers, etc.), to effectively mitigate compliance risks.
  • Organize and chair compliance reviews with regional leaders (including region CEO) to discuss health of the compliance program and to appoint specific third-party relationships, as required; advise the businesses/operational teams within the region on third party relationships
  • Design, continuously improve and simplify third-party compliance processes, including initial due diligence, documentation of relationship, ongoing transactional monitoring (e.g., discounts, disbursements, demonstrations, concessions, etc.) and audits; ensure rigor in execution of controls throughout the third-party lifecycle by relevant stakeholders
  • Manage (directly or indirectly) group of analysts performing specific transactional controls; ensure timely, rigorous and proactive execution.
  • Develop third-party compliance metrics consistent with GE Healthcare requirements
  • Partner with Compliance Monitoring and Audit teams to enhance compliance reviews and third party site visits/audits; ensure prompt and effective remediation of any identified process gaps or opportunities
  • Proactively take appropriate and timely action to protect business interests to achieve robust approaches and execution on compliance issues
  • Ensure that all business personnel are aware and trained at the appropriate level on
  • compliance issues related to third parties; develop content and lead Compliance training for third parties
  • Develop, in coordination with Legal Counsel, robust third-party contractual agreement
  • templates that protect the company; ensure appropriate compliance certifications for third parties are in place
  • Collaborate with other zone and region compliance counterparts on projects such as process and system improvements, policy implementation, tools enhancements
  • Partner with key business groups such as Channel Management to ensure seamless
  • integration of controls into existing business third-party onboarding infrastructure
  • Provide regulatory and compliance advice, including advising the businesses/operational teams within the region on third party relationships.
  • Lead projects for the regional business to ensure operations are complying with applicable regulations and GE policies governing third parties

Required Qualifications

  • Administration, Legal, Engineering or similar
  • A minimum of 7 years professional experience in compliance, risk mitigation, investigations, audit, operational and/or other relevant assurance areas, preferably with a multi-national life sciences or healthcare company
  • Knowledge of and experience with compliance issues, such as: anti-corruption/Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, third party compliance, anti-money laundering, controllership, conflict of interest and supplier relationships
  • Change agent, process oriented, global mindset. Must be able to drive significant business change through influence and build processes from the ground-up
  • Demonstrated experience in a compliance function operating within a highly regulated
  • industry/environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate business issues in an easy to understand manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the
  • organization (including our field sales force, senior leadership and our customers and senior
  • leadership teams)
  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and independently
  • Extensive experience in delivering training to wide groups.
