About The Role

This position shall have the full procurement responsibility for the category Process Aids and Additives (PA&A) which include developing and managing a global procurement strategy, supporting 20 production facilities worldwide considering all aspects of category management. The role is part of the Global Operations Procurement Team, reporting into the global procurement leadership team.

Responsibilities

As Global Category Manager PA&A your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Fully accountable for developing and managing a global procurement strategy, supporting 20 production facilities worldwide considering all aspects of category management.
• Identify and Develop Key Supplier Agreements globally and leverage opportunities to deliver best value for AAK.
• Lead strategic development activities, cross functional review meetings with key suppliers to improve performance.
• Define strategic management process for the category.
• Ensuring sourcing strategies are implemented and TCO reductions are secured at all levels of category.
• Implement business specific purchasing procedures at country level, where needed in collaboration with other business functions.
• Oversee development and execution of strategies through the strategic sourcing process.
• Manage collaboration between regional category managers, procurement managers and local organizations. Sharing best practices and learnings.
• Measure and track performance of the category via financial performance, TCO, CO2 reductions and supplier development
• Adhere to company governance, compliance and sustainability targets.
  
  
  

About You

To be successful in the role you need:

• Academic degree preferably in business administration, commerce, engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience in a similar procurement discipline.
• At least 5 years Procurement professional, with a proven track record of implementing procurement strategies at international level. Preferably within the fats and oils or chemical industry. But we are open to other industry experiences as well.
• Experience and knowledge of Procurement Processes (sourcing and purchasing) in business-to-business context.
• Excellent communication skills, analytical skills and technical capable in various ERP suites and Microsoft packages.
• Knowledge of Sustainable procurement practices and regulations.
• Strong commitment to ethical procurement and governance standard.
• Integral understanding of both direct and indirect spend management within an international/global business.
