About The Opportunity
Ellucian is seeking a Compensation Analyst for our People Team. This is a great opportunity to blend your analytical and human resources expertise and help us develop data analysis that will impact our business strategy and help us execute our long-term HR initiatives. This is a new role within the People Team that can make an immediate impact.
The right individual for this role will be data driven, analytical, motivated, collaborative, and detail oriented. The individual must have a HR data background and be proficient working with and analyzing large data sets. Where you will make an impact
Identify, develop and provide analytics to support the development and refinement of HR initiatives.
Uses data to create models that depict trends, prepares reports, presents and explains findings to senior leadership.
Audit & resolve data integrity issues to ensure quality of data in HRIS system and collaborate with others to present problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner to resolve any anomalies.
Possess a basic understanding of basic compliance for US and international laws regarding employment practices.
Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
Assess and analyze human capital data, both horizontally across all businesses and vertically within a business area to draw out human capital insights at Ellucian.
Conducts analysis and models out recommendations for HR initiatives
Assist with modeling & setup of compensation processes.
Conduct and participate in salary surveys, interpreting market data and performing proactive competitive analysis against Ellucian compensation practices, including salary ranges, incentive targets internal equity and legal compliance of pay practices
Evaluate and classify positions into the existing compensation structure, by understanding scope of responsibilities and influence
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence & HR Business partners to analyze data and provide insights
What You Will Bring
3-5 years of Human Resources experience in a role that involves Compensation, HR systems and database management
Advanced Excel knowledge and experience (Pivots, V-Lookups, Advanced Formulas, Graphs/Charts) & Power Point skills
Previous Work Experience Within HRIS Systems (Success Factors Preferred)
Working knowledge of Tableau business intelligence software
Working knowledge of HRIS Reporting, and able to create both ad hoc and advanced reports
High attention to detail with focus on accuracy and effective maintenance of people data
Ability to provide fast turnaround when needed
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Data driven mentality with a bias towards thoughtful action
Highly effective project management skills with an ability to work on and lead multiple projects simultaneously
A self-starter and able to work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
