Program Management specialist
Manage all aspects of an engineering project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project. This may include preparing engineering designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. Liaise with other operational areas in the organization (e.g., engineering, drafting, technical) to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Select and manage the activities of contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and the organization receives satisfactory standards of service. Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.

Program Management specialist

Responsibilities/ Skills.
- Ensure the program team fully understand program scope and internal/external deliverables.
- Create, maintain and publish a "launch scorecard" for launching programs. PM may be required to present his/her scorecard to executive leadership at any time.
- Ensure all functional areas maintain a launch plan that supports program’s needs. Monitor launch activities using "launch timing templates" and "launch scorecard".
- Facilitate free communication between our customers, our commercial team and our operations.
- Escalate program risk immediately, work with all departments necessary to mitigate those risk and continue to escalate until resolution.
- Manage all aspects of preproduction/prototype builds to meet internal and external deliverables, including profitability. Track/report progress using "build tracker", "launch scorecard" and "prototype P&L" documents
- Lead weekly program meeting with cross-functional team. Progress to program deliverables is reviewed and mitigation plans created for risk items.
- Forecast annual capital spending requirements for assigned programs(s). Create RFAs and manage spending to budget.
- Lead impromptu cross-functional meetings to work on high priority program tasks as needed.
- Lead direct and develop a program specialist of assigned.
- Visit PKC NA manufacturing plants on a regular basis to track status of assigned program(s). Travel may be up to 40% of work time.
- Comply with the fulfil environmental, safety and health legal requirements set out in the legislation and regulations of our customers and other applicable stakeholder’s requirements to whom we are related to our activities and products, as well as those EHS requirements established by the Company.
Minimum:
- 4 to 6 years directly related Project Program Management experience and cross-functional teams consisting of engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain.
- Minimum:
- Bachelor degree. Engineering is preferred but not necessary.
- Solid experience Project Management principles and managing projects/programs
- Strong problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Understanding of basic accounting and finance concepts
- Understanding of basic quality control concepts
- Experience in manufacturing industry
- Proficient in MS Office and MS Project software
- English Advanced
- Master degree. Engineering or business is preferred but not necessary.
- PMP Credential
- Experience in automotive industry
- Experience in wire harness industry
- Understanding of basic accounting and finance concept
- Understanding of basic quality control concept
- Proficient in MS office and MS project software
