Job Responsibilities
Middlemile Regional Management.
Coordinate procurement processes for intermediate transportation goods and services.
Ensure efficient logistics execution from distribution centers to regional warehouses.
Corporate Procurement Support:
Collaborate with headquarters procurement team to address regional needs.
Align local purchasing strategies with global or national policies.
Regional Warehouse Procurement:
Source, negotiate and coordinate the leasing of new warehouses in the region.
Oversee the operational readiness of new logistics centers.
Local Sourcing Management:
Ensure timely availability of materials and supplies in warehouses and delivery points.
Supervise and execute daily orders with local suppliers.
Supplier and Logistics Management:
Establish strong relationships with suppliers and logistics operators.
Coordinate the efficient use of fleets or logistic vehicles (if part of the scope).
Resolve incidents related to deliveries, timing and quality of service.
Key Attributes:
Resolute mindset with the ability to effectively address regional emergencies.
Strong organisational and collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to manage procurement processes and achieve value for money targets.
