This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Project Procurement Engineer in Tijuana with Signify.
As a Project Procurement Engineer you’ll be responsible for working on cost optimizations within assigned component and product portfolio by being part of new product introduction projects, leading cost reduction projects for incumbent portfolio, supporting manufacturing organization in procurement related day-to-day challenges, contributing to development of Commodity Strategies and executing them in manufacturing organization.
Working as a Project Procurement Engineer at Signify is very dynamic. Procurement and technology in combination with a passion for price and concept savings must be in your DNA. You will be part of the Signify's global Procurement community and part of the global Business Unit OEM, focused primarily at the production of LED Drivers, LED Modules and Sensors. You will report to Procurement Business Partner responsible for Business OEM.

What You’ll Do
- Identify, initiate and execute cost optimization initiatives both in new product introduction projects as well as for existing portfolio.
- Support the manufacturing organization in daily procurement challenges and be the local point of contact for assigned component commodities.
- Manage all procurement activities in the new product introduction projects within assigned project scope.
- Run the quotations process with suppliers, provide accurate cost estimates and drive the supplier selection process together with the Commodity Teams.
- Support and executes the implementation of commodity sourcing strategies and cost reduction plans.
- Support the Commodity Teams with conceptual and fact-based information and opportunities to drive price negotiations and identify structural. cost reduction improvement.

- Bachelor’s degree completed in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or Industrial) or in Supply/Procurement Management; preferably with some practical experience already gained during internships.
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Very good level of spoken and written English (advanced or fluent), to be able to communicate internationally - MANDATORY.
- You have a very solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. vlookup, pivot tables, data validation, charts).
- You are a team player with an investigative mind yet being able to implement pragmatic solutions.
- You are a self-confident, self-motivated person who can work independently.
- You have strong analytical skills with an ability to draw conclusions.
- This is an on-site position.
