Job Description
Responsible for recording in accounting the expense and payment of all Mexican accounts payable, as well as the necessary policies for the preparation of the monthly closing and audit reports.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
AP Clerk should be an organized, analytical person capable of leading financial information efficiently, communicating accurately with vendors, co-workers, other internal departments. Skills to find opportunities of improvements, optimize process and to collaborate with different areas to guarantee an efficient workflow. Accounting Principles and Tax knowledge such as CFDI, REP, Tax Compendium. Ability to multi-task and enjoy variety of duties in fast paced environment. Take initiative and use experience in AP to assist in decision-making skills. Ability to assist other members of the team. Review and process invoices in a timely manner, as well as resolve discrepancies to ensure timely payments.
Review tax requirements and to validate CFDI received by e mail from suppliers prior to enter in the system. Ensure compliance with tax and accounting regulations.
Process all invoices received in a weekly basis.
Attend supplier’s requests in an accurate manner regarding invoices and payments.
Request account balances in a monthly basis this to maintain the accuracy and aging accounts payable.
Monitor invoice approvals and follow up on held/void invoices.
Support activities for month end close process.

Who You Are:
- You engage in collaborative planning.
- You identify and create the processes necessary to get work done.
- You evaluate feedback and make necessary adjustments.
- You prepare content for communication that is impactful.
- You take time to ask questions and define the problem and make learning a priority and a goal
- University Degree in Accounting
- 2 years of experience in similar position
- 1 year of experience in a maquiladora environment.
- Written English preferred
- Knowledge in accounting systems such as Checkpaq, Contpaq, Admipaq.
- Basic Excel
- Knowledge in bank portal transfers
