Description

  • Evaluate the supplier’s performance to meet the customer quality targets
  • Work along with suppliers to meet all needed activities and avoid deviations
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes and identify potential issues
  • Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and follow up / validation of actions
  • Follow up on the production floor to track the progress of the actions and their correct implementation
  • Detect and promptly inform about potential risks
  • Gather information and ensure all documentation is uploaded into the corresponding platforms
  • Participate actively in regular meetings to provide status to top management and project reviews

Requirements

  • Education in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and/or related
  • 5+ years of experience inside the industry with knowledge in production, quality and manufacturing processes (metal parts, steel)
  • 4+ years as Technical expert on restraint systems (airbags)
  • Project Management
  • High skills / knowledge on Quality Core Tools (MSA, P-FMEA)
  • Good knowledge of measurement techniques, GD&T, Gage R&R
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes evaluation and root cause analysis tools (8Ds / PDCA)
  • Experience with product/process audits according to international standards (VDA, IATF16949 and/or ISO 9001)
  • Good knowledge of quality processes and quality tools
  • Certified Quality auditor under ISO 19011 or VDA 6.3 (desirable)
  • Handling of KPIs and reporting
  • Gather of technical information, lessons learnt, concepts and customer requirements
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (lean manufacturing
  • SAP (desirable)
  • Availability to travel inside Mexico
  • Fluent English
  • Position for 3 months
