ISP Senior Tax Manager Role Profile
Purpose of Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to lead and manage tax operations for our Region entities. The successful candidate will oversee tax compliance, reporting, planning, and risk management across the region, ensuring adherence to local and international tax laws. This individual will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to optimize tax strategies, manage risks, and support corporate tax reporting.

ISP Senior Tax Manager Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Coordinate and manage the preparation and filing of federal tax returns for region entities, including school operations, property holding companies, management companies, and holding companies.
- Ensure timely submission of sales and use, gross receipts, and property tax returns for the region.
- Manage tax payments for the region group and ensure compliance with all tax obligations.
- Tax Planning & Strategy:
- Support the annual corporate income tax reporting under IFRS, including the calculation of current and deferred tax positions.
- Collaborate with external advisors to manage transfer pricing documentation for Mexico, central America, and Caribbean.
- Tax Risk & Audits:
- Build and maintain a tax risk register and prioritize tax risk mitigation projects.
- Manage any tax audits initiated by tax authorities within the Mexico, central America, and Caribbean.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with cross-functional teams (local finance teams and group tax team) to address ad hoc queries and provide ongoing tax support.
- Lead tax integration for new acquisitions across the Mexico, central America, and Caribbean.
- External Relationships:
- Coordinate and manage relationships with external tax consultants and advisors, ensuring effective collaboration on tax matters.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels and build trust, respect, and confidence.
- Self-Starter: Strong ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
- Integrity & Conscientiousness: High levels of personal integrity and a conscientious approach to delivering high-quality work.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Communication & Responsiveness: Ability to identify issues and raise them in a timely manner, responding effectively to project-related questions and requests.
- Qualifications: A CPA certification is highly preferable.
- Experience: At least 5+ years of experience in industry or public accounting, with a strong understanding of tax compliance and planning.
- International Experience: Experience working in a multi-national organization and handling international tax matters is a distinct advantage
- Proven experience leading SAT audits, managing tax litigation, and responding to SAT requests and invitations.
- Extensive experience working with tax-exempt income entities.
- Experience handling cross-border transactions.
- Strong understanding of how to calculate the non-creditable VAT factor.
