ISP Tax Manager Role Profile
Purpose of Role
The Tax Manager ensures compliance with all tax laws, regulations and oversee tax reporting, planning, and timely filings. The role involves minimizing tax risks and optimizing the organization's tax position. They provide strategic tax guidance to support financial goals. The manager also handles tax audits and works with other departments to ensure efficient tax practices.

ISP Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate and timely filing of all relevant taxes, including income tax, VAT/sales tax, payroll taxes, and local levies.
Tax Planning: Develop tax strategies that consider tuition fees, grants, endowments, donations, and government funding. Optimize the organization’s tax position within the legal framework.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate tax provisions and disclosures in line with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS). Ensure proper treatment of deferred revenue, deferred taxes.
Audit and Regulatory Support: Lead the response to tax audits and inquiries from authorities or regulators.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Finance, Legal, and HR teams to advise on tax impacts of operational decisions.
System & Process Management: Use ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for tax reporting and compliance. Continuously improve tax processes, controls, and documentation.

Skills, Qualifications And Experience
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Problem-solving and strategic planning abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
- Organizational and time management skills, especially for meeting deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Accounting, or related field
- Advanced English proficiency (especially for multinational institutions)
- 8–10+ years of tax experience, including a mix of corporate tax and public accounting/audit
- Experience with tax planning, compliance, and reporting
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, including deferred taxes
