This position is full-time, onsite in Juarez, Mexico.
Summary
The Head of IT & Systems manages the company's technology infrastructure, software tools, and information security across all locations.
This role oversees system administration, onboarding/offboarding, SOC 2 compliance, and network security for approximately 300 employees.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of supporting a fast-paced operational environment with distributed teams and evolving systems.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Management
Own the architecture, performance, and maintenance of all IT systems, including networking, file management, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software.
Lead all SOC 2 compliance initiatives and audits to ensure the company remains compliant.
Oversee deployment, updates, and troubleshooting for core platforms (e.g., ERP, productivity tools, device management, VPN).
Ensure uptime and reliability of on-site and cloud systems across all locations, including manufacturing environments.
IT Operations & Support
Lead all IT support activities, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and requests across sites and shifts.
Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for all users, including device setup, access provisioning, and deactivation.
Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory, software license records, and systems documentation.
Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain SOC 2 and other relevant IT compliance standards, partnering with external auditors as needed.
Manage network and endpoint security, including firewalls, threat detection, user access controls, and patch management.
Conduct regular risk assessments and lead incident response planning and execution.
Team, Vendor & Budget Management
Lead and develop a small IT team or manage MSP partners, setting clear priorities and expectations.
Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including contracts, performance, and SLAs.
Own the IT budget, including forecasting, expense management, and cost optimization.
Qualifications
6+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including system administration, security, compliance, and user support.
Hands-on expertise in networking, cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure), and device management.
Experience with SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.
Proven experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts.
Experience supporting both office and manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
