A Day In The Life

As a Performance Improvement Manager within L'Oréal's Operations in Mexico, you will be a key driver of continuous improvement initiatives, working across various departments and functions without direct reports. You will lead projects, influence stakeholders, and implement methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's performance, aligning with L'Oréal's commitment to purpose and cutting-edge practices.

  • Driving Continuous Improvement: You will identify areas for improvement, develop and implement action plans, and track progress against key performance indicators (KPIs). You will champion the adoption of lean methodologies and other best practices to optimize processes and eliminate waste.
  • Stakeholder Management: You will collaborate with various stakeholders across different departments, including managers and teams who do not directly report to you, to build consensus, secure buy-in, and ensure successful project implementation. Your strong influencing skills will be crucial in navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: You will leverage data analysis to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions. You will use data to support your recommendations and demonstrate the impact of your initiatives.
  • Project Management: You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. You will utilize project management methodologies to track progress, manage risks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in driving continuous improvement initiatives. They possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, and are adept at influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Continuous Improvement Expertise: Proven experience in implementing and managing continuous improvement projects. You must have a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Influencing and Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to influence and persuade stakeholders, including those who do not report directly to you.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data to inform decisions and demonstrate impact.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, using project management methodologies to ensure timely and successful completion. If you have a project management certification is a plus.
  • Auditing Skills: Ability to conduct audits and identify areas for improvement.
