Job Description
Primary Function of the Position
The Production Manager is accountable of managing production activities of a Value Stream to deliver products/ services that meet quality specifications, achieve, or exceed service level and cost targets while ensuring employees safety, complying with applicable regulations and company policies.
Under direct supervision works with the Sr. Production Manager or Director of Manufacturing to establish short-term strategies to assure meeting SIOP production goals as well as product/ process transfer, employee engagement, culture deployment, and continues improvement processes.
This role require partnership with local and corporate departments to ensure alignment and flawless plan execution. Asked to maintain an effective work model through the implementation and monitoring of process indicators in terms of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Staff and Productivity.

Job Description
Primary Function of the Position

Essential Job Duties
- Identifies and coordinates cost reduction projects including labor productivity, inventory, material usage, defects, using lean manufacturing and six sigma tools to drive improvements on KPI,
- Ensure implementation of IPS ToolsLead effort with other departments to solve any restriction that may stop or slow down productionTrain, develop, enforce adherence to the applicable DOP and SOP of Quality System & Manufacturing to SupervisorsPerform Interviews, hire and train employees plan, assign and manage workload to monitor their development plans (TAP,EVOLVE),reward and discipline employees, manage conflicts
- Participate in SIOP Process and Review production plan and components, and hdct requirements for following QtrsPlan, supervise, drive improvement and report production performance (Output/Yield/RCA/Efficiency) Tier 2
- Coach and provide expectations (Goals and Objectives) and feedback when required Drive Goals deployment process, measure production metrics to monitor performance and coordinate actions to ensure improvements
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunties to next management level (Safety/Quality/People/Service/other)
- Ensures to comply with quality system, Standards, and enviroment, EHS Requirements, as well as all applicable company procedures and policies,
- Perform semianual evaluation process, giving feedback to supervisors, One on One every month
- Support Sub assy or process outsourcing initiatives
- Drive our culture strategy by fostering our mision, principles, leadership expectations.Provides timely and effective support for new products and process transferences
- Ensure that corrective actions generated by quality notifications are closed in accordance with the quality system
- Assist engineering FMR
- Participate in planning budget and control expenses applicable to production area to comply or exceed department financial targets
- Ensure that your staff complies with the training program certificationsSupport process validation
- Review and approve Engineering Changes (ECO's)Coordinate Colaborate in Quality Audits, and validate follow up actions from QA Audit
- Monitor Inventory and cyclical counts of raw material
- Promote the implementation of safe work conditions by performing/Coordinating RCA for safety hazards or incidents.
- Promoto PPEEnsure follow Company Guidelines related to Health, Safety and enviromental practices, participate in Health and safety commision
- Partership with HR department to address personal related activitiesDevelop and Communicate Strategy to meet department goals
Required Skills and Experience
- 7 years of experience, 5 years of proven Leadership as Production Supervisor, Superintendent, or people leader,
- 2 years of exp with CI Manufacturing SystemsTeambuilding BS in Engineering or BA, Master degree is preferred, GB, BB Certified in Lean Sigma is preferred
- Abbility to identify opportunities for improvement through continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Sigma, RCA techniques)
- Excellent Leadership, collaboration and Cross functional teams, team work skills.
- Ability to manage complexity
- Excellent oral and written English/Spanish, with ability to effective presentations for different organizational levels
- Knowledge of the Quality System Requirements such as ISO13485, MDSAP, Equipment validation (IQ, OQ, PQ)Experience with ERP and planning systems (SAP, Agile, O9) preferred
- Excellent oral and written skills in English and Spanish with the ability to do effective presentations for different organizational levels.
- Green Belt / Black Belt Certified in Lean-Sigma is preferred
- 2+ years of experience with Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Systems (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, etc.), Project Management, Product Transfer / NPI
- Medical Device external regulatory audit exposure (FDA, ISO, ANVISA, etc.)
- Excellent leadership, engagement, and synergy skills.
- Ability to manage complexity
- Experience with ERP and planning systems (SAP, Agile, o9) preferred.
