Job Description
As a member of the Database Upgrade Team, you will be part of a global team spread across 5 countries and you will have a lot of freedom to contribute to the core of the Database Upgrade Team's products and you will assist with the analysis of existing complex programs and formulate logic for new complex internal systems.
Interact with customers and other teams developing core technologies at Oracle.
Prepare design, perform coding, and test/debug programs.
Develop system implementation plans.
Recommend improvements to development, maintenance, and system standards.

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in programming with Java languages
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and/or distributed systems
- Proficiency with source code management
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Proficiency with the Oracle tools & technologies: Java 8 EE, Oracle Database Architecture and SQL and PL/SQL (packages, functions, procedures, triggers)
- Familiar with Continuous Integration and Build Automation
- Familiar with Linux-based operating systems
- Proficiency with scripting programming Perl
