Expeditor

Responsible for ensuring business has the supplies and inventory it needs to function. Their duties include communicating with suppliers about the status of supplies, problem-solving to reduce the impact of late shipments and submitting purchase orders to vendors.

Responsibilities/ Skills.

  • Contact vendors, place orders, verify supplies, manage supply requisition and communicate with suppliers to determine expected delivery dates and inform to final users
  • As required, check work quality against company requirements and specifications and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure that materials shipped and received are verified against pertinent documentation
  • Responsible for the timely processing of expedited deliveries
  • Follow up on late orders and confirm pending deliveries on open orders
  • Shipments Analysis and Control per supplier.
  • Negotiate with supplier’s orders cancellation
  • Identifying and implementing cost savings initiatives
  • Supplier delivery performance issues to suppliers and internal customers
  • Quote with suppliers, as requested
  • RMA Process follow up, as requested
  • Review and coordinate data with A/P and Materials Receiving associates for missing payments.
  • Comply with the environmental, safety and health requirements set forth in the legislation and regulations related to our activities and products, as well as those EHS requirements established by the community, our clients and others to which we are subscribed.

Profile.

Education and Experience / Educación y Experiencia:

  • Administration or Engineer degree
  • 1 Years of experience, automotive business desirable, in areas related to Manufacturing, Materials, Planning, Logistics and/or Purchasing:
