BCIQ - Sub-System Launch Manager

The Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team is looking for a Launch Project Manager to join our team focused on ensuring all project quality targets are met, managing launch timelines & deliverables and insure the transition to quality volume production.

• Ensures high level of communication to the team and progress reporting to Plant Management.
• Ensures the progress pace of all launch BCI activities, manages part conformity, design validation and change requests system for launch vehicle issues.
• Responsible for escalation process, in contact with all partners, suppliers, subcontractors for timely resolution of issues.
  
  

Qualification & Skills

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace) from an ABET accredited university.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in automotive areas of Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and/or Product Quality.
• Being mobile, mission that can lead to short or long-term displacements (manufacturing plants) for 6-18 months.
• Mastery of geometry assessments (technical documents and processes).
• Management of scheduling, organization, and internal processes for the launching phase activities.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and trades (stamping, welding, painting and assembly)
• Knowledge of the BCI product design fundamentals.
• Self-motivator with a strong passion for automobiles and appreciation for quality.
• Basic understanding of statistics and root cause problem solving.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science degree (Engineering, Quality, or Business) or equivalent from an ABET accredited university.
• Reactive Shainin or DFSS Master Black Belt.
• Manufacturing process & launch experience is preferred.
