Role Summary

As a vital member of our Research & Development team in Mexico City, you will report to the Director of R&D to drive the conceptualization and design of next-generation consumer products. You will lead the translation of consumer insights into technical realities by conducting foundational research and clinical trials that directly influence our product pipeline. This is an exciting opportunity to master digital tools and advanced scientific methodologies to deliver high-performance, cost-effective formulas to our global consumers.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive Product Innovation: Lead the conceptualization and design of new formulas, translating consumer insights into finished products using sound scientific principles and foundational research.
  • Technical Project Management: Manage assigned R&D activities and clinical trials to ensure all project timelines are met without compromising safety or regulatory requirements.

  • Digital Optimization: Incorporate and master digital tools, including AI and Design of Experiments (DoE), to optimize formula performance, stability, and cost-efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Safety, Regulatory, and Process Development teams to ensure efficient technology transfer and compliance with Quality and EOHS standards.

  • Knowledge Leadership: Document and communicate technical learnings through research reports and invention records to contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Material Science, or Biotechnology.
  • Experience: 2+ years of relevant laboratory experience within a scientific research or development environment.

  • Communication: Effective and fluent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Technical Proficiency: Professional experience using Google Workspace (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and digital research tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Expertise: Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Specialized Science: Advanced understanding of colloid and surface sciences, material sciences, or rheology.

  • Advanced Education: Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field.

  • Research Impact: Proven track record of academic publications or invention records.
