General Summary:

Role Summary

The Social Operations Specialist is responsible for managing day-to-day execution, stakeholder alignment, and delivery of content across the monthly calendar. This role ensures that all content is approved, and ready for final QA and publishing . Works on taking content efficiently from intake through publishing while surfacing risks, bottlenecks, and operational improvements, M aintaining alignment between stakeholders, priorities, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Management & Execution

Manage day-to-day delivery of social media content across the monthly calendar
Track tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure content is completed on time
Maintain visibility into project status, risks, and dependencies
Ensure all content moves efficiently from intake approval final Q A

- Calendar & Planning Management

Add, organize, and update content entries (tickets/posts) in the editorial calendar
Support ownership of social publishing calendars and schedules
Align timelines across channels, campaigns, and regions , proactively identify gaps, overlaps, or capacity issues

- Stakeholder Management & Approvals

Own the end-to-end stakeholder approval process, including:

  • Ensuring content accuracy and message alignment before final QA

  • Managing feedback loops and consolidating inputs

  • Following up with stakeholders to unblock approvals


Work across multiple stakeholder groups (e.g., Product Marketing, BP& A, Investor Relations)
Ensure all content meets stakeholder expectations prior to publishing

Escalate high-impact issues when needed (in alignment with operations lead )



Manage handoffs between Strategy, Programming, Creative Studio, agencies, and Publishing
Ensure all required inputs are accounted for before execution

Maintain operational tools and ensure consistent usage across stakeholders

Success Metrics

  • On-time delivery of content across the monthly calendar

  • Approval efficiency (minimal delays due to stakeholder feedback)

  • Clear alignment between planned and executed content

  • Reduced escalations due to misalignment or missed expectations

Scope & Ownership

  • Owns execution of a single program area (social media production)

  • Accountable for on-time delivery and readiness of all content before final QA

  • Responsible for ensuring alignment between stakeholders and execution

  • Owns the planning and approval layer , not publishing

Profile & Qualifications

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Strong project coordination and organization skills

  • Experience with content calendars or workflow tools

  • Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple workstreams

  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams

Experience

  • Experience in project management, content operations, or marketing operations

  • Background working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders

  • Experience managing timelines, approvals, and delivery in fast-paced environments

Requirements

  • 4+ years in project management or marketing / social media operations

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience coordinating stakeholder approvals and feedback cycles including agencies and managing timelines/accountability

  • Ability to identify and improve operational processes managing complex social media workflows and cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred skills

  • Project management certification, like a PMP

  • Experience with social media in the tech industry

  • Willingness to learn and interest in problem-solving

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong experience with Workfront or similar project management tools

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 4+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qua lifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration/Management, Communications, or related field.
  • 3+ years of Marketing Communications or related work experience.

Level of Responsibility:

• Works independently with minimal supervision.

  • Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.

• Decision-making is significant in nature and affects work beyond immediate work group.

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

  • Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).

• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
