We are seeking a Project Engineer responsible for managing and coordinating engineering projects from planning to completion, ensuring execution within approved CAPEX budgets, timelines, and quality standards. This role will support manufacturing improvements, optimize resources, and ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project execution, including scope definition, scheduling, resource allocation, budget tracking, documentation, and project closure.
• Monitor CAPEX expenses, purchase orders, and project progress, providing updates to the Engineering Coordinator.
• Perform site walkthroughs to verify project progress, identify deviations, delays, safety risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and optimize plant layouts using CAD tools to improve workflow, material flow, and operational efficiency.
• Develop technical specifications for equipment, tools, PPE, and consumables; coordinate supplier quotations, evaluations, purchasing, and deliveries.
• Identify project risks related to safety, quality, cost, and schedule, and develop mitigation actions.
• Coordinate activities with Maintenance, Production, Quality, Safety, Procurement teams, suppliers, and contractors.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and SMED to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Participate in equipment installation, validation, FAT/SAT testing, documentation, and operator training.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while supporting corrective actions.
• Analyze process or material issues and follow up on non-conformities with suppliers and internal teams.
• Provide project supervision within the plant and support supplier or contractor visits as required.

Experiencia y requisitos

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechatronic, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Project Engineering, Process Engineering, or Continuous Improvement roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• 2+ years of experience managing CAPEX projects, including budget control and project close-out.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for layout design and modification.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, VSM, SMED) and continuous improvement tools.
• Experience with project management tools (Gantt charts, budget tracking, risk assessment) and formal project closure documentation.
• Solid understanding of safety and quality standards (ISO, OHSAS, or equivalent) and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with maintenance, production, quality, safety, and procurement departments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Availability for daily internal travel within the plant and external travel to supplier sites and other company facilities.
• Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle (if company transportation is not provided).
• Flexibility to adjust work hours for critical project needs (equipment startups, validations, out-of-hours supervision).
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (technical) is desirable.
• Experience with MES systems, SAP, or data analytics tools is a plus.
• Certification in Project Management (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or related is a plus.
