Summary
As Executive Chef, you will provide visionary culinary leadership, overseeing all food production and culinary operations while ensuring alignment with Hyatt's brand standards, strategic objectives, and commitment to exceptional guest experiences. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead a high-performing culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous development.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in luxury hospitality and wellness-driven culinary concepts, delivering elevated dining experiences that emphasize quality, sustainability, seasonality, and mindful nutrition. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, consistency, and operational efficiency across all restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and banquet operations, while driving financial performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Professional culinary degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent certification in Culinary Arts or Food Production.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef within internationally recognized luxury hotels or ultra-luxury resorts; experience in wellness-focused, destination, or lifestyle properties is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading large, multi-outlet culinary operations with a strong focus on fine dining, wellness cuisine, and innovative culinary programming.
- Experience with international cuisines and multicultural culinary concepts is highly desirable.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop diverse culinary teams while cultivating a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, food cost controls, labor productivity, and overall culinary financial performance.
- Deep knowledge of global culinary trends, sustainability practices, nutrition, and farm-to-table philosophies.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a passion for creativity, innovation, and delivering memorable luxury guest experiences.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required
