Job Summary
Executive Overview VMware Workspace ONE is VMware\'s workspace solution. It’s a digital platform that delivers and manages any app on any device by integrating access control, application management and multi-platform endpoint management. Workspace ONE is built on the unified endpoint management (Workspace ONE UEM, formerly known as AirWatch) technology and integrates with virtual application delivery (VMware Horizon) on a common identity framework. In-Scope Following are the responsibilities of the Workspace One Application Administrator: • Provides technical leadership and hands-on support, installation, and configuration for the Workspace One platform including all software components, appliances, databases, firewall configurations, and load balancing as well as Workspace One components: Workspace One Access, UEM, Tunnel, UAG, Horizon, Assist • Provides a technical understanding of the Workspace One platform and how it fits into the underlying virtual infrastructure at Customer (Customer’s Workspace One solution is on-premises) • Stays abreast on Workspace One solution improvements, enhancements, version updates, etc. • Responds to critical patches and addresses security vulnerabilities in an efficient manner • Provides a technical understanding of the Workspace One platform and how it integrates with other systems at Customer (e.g. Active Directory, JIRA, Horizon, Gemalto, etc.) • Collaborates with EUC team and Customer’s VMware account team to understand the roadmap for the application and how Customer will utilize the features of the platform over time, including identifying and delivering enhancements • Performs standard maintenance of the Workspace One environment including tasks such as performing upgrades, bug fixes, application troubleshooting, application validation for releases etc. • Manages the change process related technology setup, config, etc. This includes initiation, facilitation, and completion of service requests in line with Customer standard policies and procedures • Collaborates with other Customer teams (e.g. Monitoring, Infrastructure, Architecture, etc.) to ensure alignment and understand Customer’s environment as it relates to Workspace One and any initiatives that impact the Workspace One environment • Provides knowledge on project efforts including Windows 10 application deployments, Windows device management, Factory Provisioning, mobile device management, and other related platform efforts • Provides training to relevant support team members to ensure effective partnership • Coordinates efforts with both onshore and offshore EUC support teams to support all efforts associated with Workspace One through established sprint cadence • Maintains all Workspace One technical and support documentation as changes are deployed in the environment
