We are seeking a Parker Hannifin is seeking a senior Product Specialist – Mechanical & Pneumatic to provide deep technical expertise and application ownership for a range of mechanical and pneumatic solutions. This role is highly cross-functional and customer-facing—supporting OEMs, automation partners, and system integrators with solution selection, application validation, and technical enablement.
You will act as a key technical reference for the portfolio, translating customer needs into clear application requirements and supporting adoption in real-world industrial environments. The position requires a solid, hands-on understanding of industrial automation, including PLC programming and industrial communications (Modbus and CANbus), to align product capabilities with machine-level integration and troubleshooting needs.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute portfolio strategy (segmentation, value proposition, positioning, and investment priorities) to drive profitable growth.
- Own product lifecycle management: NPI, rationalization/phase-out, engineering changes, availability planning, and obsolescence management.
- Lead portfolio and roadmap governance: build business cases, evaluate opportunities, and align priorities to growth and profitability targets.
- Develop and implement pricing strategy: pricing structure, target margins, commercial policies, and support for strategic negotiations.
- Conduct market and competitive intelligence: benchmarking, trends (including Industry 4.0), and share/penetration analysis.
- Run effective VoC programs: capture customer requirements, validate applications, and translate insights into clear product specifications.
- Partner with engineering to define specifications and validate solutions (mechanical, pneumatic, and industrial communications where applicable).
- Provide technical-commercial support: sales training, technical collateral, positioning/objection handling, and selection/sizing tools.
- Engage directly with OEMs, integrators, and strategic accounts on co-development, standardization, and project specifications.
- Ensure alignment with applicable safety, quality, and compliance requirements (documentation, traceability, and safe practices).
- Promote a solutions mindset beyond catalog sales—application performance, reliability, safety, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced/Fluent English, required, for global collaboration and technical documentation.
- Senior experience (typically 7+ years) in product/portfolio management within industrial markets (ideally automation, pneumatics, and/or mechanical systems).
- Strong technical foundation in mechanical and pneumatic systems, including:
- Actuators, valves, FRL and air preparation.
- Application-based sizing/selection, cycle considerations, efficiency/air consumption, and safety considerations.
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Product lifecycle management (NPI, roadmap, pricing, end-of-life).
- Market/competitive analysis and value proposition development.
- Sales enablement and technical training (internal and/or customer-facing).
- Cross-functional leadership with engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
- Solid functional knowledge of PLC programming and industrial automation environments (programming, troubleshooting/diagnostics, and equipment integration).
- Proven knowledge of Modbus (RTU/TCP) in industrial applications.
- Proven knowledge of CANbus in industrial/automation environments (practical understanding and application).
- Experience working with OEMs, system integrators, and/or machine builders.
