To develop and maintain the quality system for new products, product transfers and product changes which is consistent with the New Product Development procedure and products transfers from other Molex entities.
Our Team
To actively participate in product development, product transfers and product/process changes. Provides technical quality support, utilizing metrology skills and statistical tools, to the NPD teams and manufacturing facility as needed, to assure quality and performance through planning, developing appropriate prevention and detection controls for new products, product changes and product transfers supporting the plant quality metrics.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for Advanced Product Quality Planning activities. Owner of the following deliverables: control plans, measurement plans, qualification plans, qualification run summary reports, and PPAP package.
- Develops Quality System for new products, product changes and product transfers including the development of inspection methods, inspection equipment, and inspection frequency.
- Facilitates and provides expertise in the development of FMEA's, Control Plans, Qualification Plans, problem solving, metrology processes etc., in new product development and product changes.
- Performs statistical analysis for the qualification, control and continuous improvement of processes, products and equipment. Ensure the metrology/statistical data is understood by the team so the data can be used to drive appropriate decisions/action.
- Supports and participates in the development of quality system procedures. May perform internal audits of these procedures as a member of the internal audit team.
- Uses interpersonal skills to reach consensus with team members when conflicts arise and work to maintain team cohesiveness through difficult team decisions. Solicits help if needed from other department resources to resolve issues.
- May provide guidance to lab/pre-production quality personnel. May do part inspection as required.
- Supports and participates in qualification runs and run at rates as directed by the program manager. Ensure manufacturing facility has appropriate visual aids, instructions, and training during product/process safe launch.
- Meets with the customer during the Product Development Process to ensure common understanding of requirements, PPAP expectations, DMR , product, process validations, etc
- Leads development team in finding root cause and developing corrective action for New Product Quality Issues and support efforts for systemic improvements of AQP Processes to avoid New Products Quality Notifications.
- Understand, support and contribute to the fulfillment of the PBM Philosophy, to the different standards of Quality Management and Safety and Hygiene, Six Sigma, RBA (Responsible Business Alliance), ISO, IATF and CTPAT / OAS following the established policies and procedures.
- Perform related or complementary work related to their functions.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 3-5 years in Automotive or Medical Quality Engineering or related field in a new product introduction environment
- Molding, Connectors or Harness Manufacturing experience
- Fluent English (90%)
- Strong organization skills to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload
- Strong problem solving skills and PPAP Process
- Basic GD&T application knowledge and blue print reading
- Willingness to travel when necessary

- Advanced knowledge of 6 sigma tools, statistics and GD&T
