Your Role

Are you passionate about leading complex manufacturing organizations, developing high-performing teams, and making a meaningful impact in the medical device industry? As a Plant Manager at Phillips Medisize Querétaro, you will be responsible for leading all plant operations, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and talent development. You will play a strategic role in driving business growth by leading continuous improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction while fostering a culture focused on value creation.

Our Team

You will be part of the Phillips Medisize leadership team, working closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, EHS, and global teams. You will collaborate with strategic customers and international leaders to ensure sustainable operational growth and compliance with the highest standards in the medical device industry.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the overall plant operation, ensuring achievement of safety, quality, delivery, and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with global business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with medical industry regulations and standards, including FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP requirements.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Lead, develop, and strengthen high-performing cross-functional teams.
  • Manage key plant performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure operational and financial objectives are achieved.
  • Foster a strong culture of safety, compliance, and accountability.
  • Partner with strategic customers to maintain exceptional service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead plant expansion, automation, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, capital investments, and resources to maximize value creation.
  • Collaborate with global teams to implement best practices and corporate strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve capacity, productivity, and overall competitiveness.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications )
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading manufacturing plants or complex business operations.
  • Proven experience managing operations, financial performance, and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Quality Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation and talent development initiatives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, influence, and decision-making skills.
  • Availability to travel as business needs require.

What Will Put You Ahead
  • Required experience within the Medical Device Manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience operating under FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Knowledge of Clean Room manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with medical device assembly operations and plastic injection molding for healthcare applications.
  • Experience leading product transfers, validations, and new product introductions within regulated environments.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience working in global, matrixed, and multicultural organizations.
  • MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of improving safety, quality, productivity, and profitability metrics.
