The responsibilities of the Interior Trim and Lighting DRE include, but are not limited to:
1. Process changes or modifications to parts and components of the assigned vehicle families (CNs).
2. Request and authorize the testing required for systems, parts, and components of the assigned vehicle families to validate that they meet design requirements (DVP&R).
3. Prepare and evaluate assembly and operational tests for parts at the plants prior to their incorporation into vehicle production (PERs).
4. Define and publish temporary or final approvals for part validations of the assigned vehicle families (TSAs, IAAs, FRs).
5. Analyze and resolve functional and durability failures of parts in units of the assigned vehicle families (kPPMs, GIMS, Launch Indicators).
6. Propose/evaluate cost‑reduction initiatives for assigned components (VO and TCRs).
7. Design and release parts for the assigned vehicle families and publish them in the electronic parts database (EBOM and FastCar), or modify them according to product bulletins.
8. Attend supplier plants to certify production, inspection, and part validation processes when required by the corresponding Process Sign Off, and participate in the Resource Notice process.
9. Prepare compliance reports.
10. Process Source Packages together with Purchasing.
11. Coordinate and execute DFMAs and PFMAs together with suppliers.
12. Support pilot phases and build activities at the assembly plants.
Basic:
- Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering degree or similar
- At least 5 years of experience in automotive industry or product engineering
- Knowledge of the following systems: WebCN, Teamcenter/NX, EBOM, STV
- 90% English proficiency
Desired (not mandatory):
- Problem Solving Green Belt training or similar certification
- Masters degree
