The Interior Trim and Lighting Sub-System Technical Lead is in charge of the project management of new vehicle projects and/or the appropriate maintenance of current production programs with focus on Interior Trim and Lighting systems and components. The SSTL must ensure the performance, quality, timing and cost targets assigned by program. The responsibilities of the Interior Trim and Lighting SSTL include, but are not limited to:

  • Single engineering contact point for communication with suppliers, purchasing, Supplier Operations, assembly plants and other VEHE groups. Develop network / relationships with other VEHE counterparts.
  • Support the SSTM/VSR in the technical interface with assembly plants.
  • Support the SSTM/VSR by coordinating commodity specific deliverables to the vehicle line.
  • Attend Platform level meeting for issues resolution and general support.
  • Lead Component Timing, Cost, Weight, Investment activities for vehicle line.
  • Manage deliverables in Stellantis systems
  • Lead Source Package process, ensure timely deliverables, approval & source award.
  • Lead approval process for ED&D funding.
  • Lead Tooling Kick-off process during resourcing.
  • Lead DREs through change management (CCD, CN, PER processes, cost & timing, approval and implementation)
  • Lead build activities coordination and assembly plant support.
  • Ensure proper engineering support for problem resolution.
  • Coordinate technical issue resolution (GIMS, Warranty, Fast Feedback, SAQ issues, etc.)
  • Coordinate component, system & vehicle level test.
  • Lead program bulletin analysis and response to SSTM/VSR.
  • Provide feedback and impacts from series cards audit.
  • Perform complexity analysis / reduction.
  • Lead system effort to achieve Value Optimization targets.
  • Escalate tasks not completed to responsible managers.

Requirements:
  • Experience in similar position / project management.
  • Experience leading groups of product engineers directly or indirectly.
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive industry.
  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechanical-Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Industrial).
  • Self-directed, sense of ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in communicating in technical English language, comfortable with reporting out to top management.
  • Knowledgeable in global automotive product development process.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
