Weatherford is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Regional HR Compliance & Employee Relations Specialist to join the team in Villahermosa, Mexico.
The Regional HR Compliance & Employee Relations Specialist will play a key role in supporting workplace investigations, employment law compliance, ethics programs, employee relations, and risk mitigation across the Western Hemisphere. This high-impact role partners closely with HR leaders and business stakeholders to ensure compliance, foster a positive employee experience, and protect the organization from employment-related risk.

Weatherford is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Regional HR Compliance & Employee Relations Specialist to join the team in Villahermosa, Mexico.
The Regional HR Compliance & Employee Relations Specialist will play a key role in supporting workplace investigations, employment law compliance, ethics programs, employee relations, and risk mitigation across the Western Hemisphere. This high-impact role partners closely with HR leaders and business stakeholders to ensure compliance, foster a positive employee experience, and protect the organization from employment-related risk.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of HR compliance programs and initiatives.
- Conduct and support workplace investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and workplace conduct issues.
- Provide HR compliance and employee relations guidance across multiple countries and jurisdictions within the Western Hemisphere.
- Analyze investigation trends, hotline activity, audit findings, and compliance metrics to identify organizational risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Support the development, refinement, and implementation of HR compliance policies, processes, and procedures.
- Respond to day-to-day employee relations and HR compliance questions.
- Conduct proactive research to ensure compliance, provide appropriate consultation, and help avoid or minimize organizational risk exposure.
- Support the design and delivery of training and educational sessions for employees, HR professionals, supervisors, and managers related to local and federal employment laws and other compliance-related topics across the Western Hemisphere.
- Support internal HR audits, including harassment training, employee handbooks, Form I-9s, and other compliance-related requirements.
- Partner with HR team members to maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Participate in the administration of HR-related cases within the EthicsPoint hotline tool, as directed.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and metrics to support HR compliance initiatives.
- Stay current on local, state, and federal employment and compliance laws and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Compliance, Labor Relations, Workplace Investigations, or a related area.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Good knowledge of AI tools and Power BI or similar data visualization and analytics tools.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and the ability to compile, review, analyze, and manipulate large data sets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage difficult situations, conduct appropriate interventions, facilitate problem-solving activities, and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with employees, managers, and HR stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
- Experience with Workday preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish and English required.
- Availability to work in Villahermosa, Mexico.
