Position Summary
We are seeking an Automation & Innovation Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation, digitalization, and technology-driven solutions. This role will help optimize manufacturing, operational, and administrative processes while strengthening efficiency, safety, quality, traceability, and competitiveness.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Automation & Innovation Engineer will lead projects from opportunity identification through implementation, validation, and stabilization.

Position Summary
We are seeking an Automation & Innovation Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation, digitalization, and technology-driven solutions. This role will help optimize manufacturing, operational, and administrative processes while strengthening efficiency, safety, quality, traceability, and competitiveness.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Automation & Innovation Engineer will lead projects from opportunity identification through implementation, validation, and stabilization.

Responsibilities
- Lead automation and innovation projects from needs assessment through implementation, validation, and stabilization.
- Identify process-improvement opportunities using automation, robotics, digitalization, artificial intelligence, data analytics, IoT, MES, SCADA, PLC, and related technologies.
- Define and maintain technical standards for automated equipment, programming, industrial communications, machine safety, and technical documentation.
- Measure project impact through productivity, cost reduction, efficiency, quality, and return-on-investment indicators.
- Maintain automation and innovation systems, including backups, password control, engineering designs, and training records.
- Coordinate material and external-service requirements with Purchasing to support project delivery.
- Participate in plant safety campaigns and walkthroughs, ensuring safety findings are reported and closed.
- Train and develop personnel on new technologies, techniques, and tools.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and disciplined work area.
- Support and provide direction to an Engineering Trainee.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced knowledge of PLC, HMI, variable-frequency drives, control systems, industrial networks, and machine safety.
- Experience with industrial robotics, including platforms such as FANUC, KUKA, DENSO, or similar.
- Working knowledge of MES, SCADA, IoT, AI, data analysis, and automation technologies.
- Intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic design.
- Project management experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of 6S and physical inventory control.
- Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies, including A3, Kepner-Tregoe, and 8D.
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, planning, teamwork, communication, standardization, and results orientation.
