Your Job

Molex is seeking a driven Design Engineer to join our Manufacturing Solutions Automation Team. This role works in an innovative and globally collaborative team based out of Molex’s Lincoln Nebraska manufacturing facility. In this role you will be concepting, developing, and quoting advanced assembly processes across out transportation solutions division. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills; the ability to multi-task and prioritize; be a solutions-driven individual who is energized to solve problems and actively pursue what is needed.

  • Act as project manager for outside vendor projects
  • Help write and revise automation machine specifications

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

• Availability for 5-25% Travel Domestically and Internationally
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 1 years of mechanical design experience
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5-2009
• Knowledge of standard engineering-grade metal, finishing and plating techniques
• Knowledge of part fabrication and design for manufacturing including CNC, EDM, injection molding, stamping, and rapid prototyping
• Experience and familiarity with a revision control and structured change/ECO management processes
• Working knowledge of complex tolerance analyses
• Strong verbal and written communication skills - English
